Ajith Prasad
Ajith has about 21+ years of experience in Design management, User Experience Design, New Product Conceptualization, Design Consulting, and Education.
Currently he is a Design Practitioner, with keen interest in Emerging Technologies and small organizations.
He is an alumnus of IIT Bombay where he pursued Master’s in Design (M Des), before which he did his B-Tech in electrical and electronics. He is trained in behavioural psychology and process lab facilitation.
He has been on the Type design team of Indian language fonts for Windows 2000.
He was Co-Founder & Director of a Design firm, Aedes Design Pvt Ltd, from 2004 to 2012.
He is experienced in managing projects from discovery to design, building Ux strategies, institutionalising Ux, and facilitating learning. He was on the BPR team for re-engineering Pricol’s people management process. His assignments as a consultant for various organizations have been setting up Centre of Excellence (CoE), conceptualising and designing applications, solutions, products, communications, and brand Identities, among others.
He is involved in Design Education and has been visiting faculty for Information and Interaction design at Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology. He has also been Teaching assistant at IIT Bombay.
He is also an artist who has exhibited in state and national art exhibitions conducted by Lalit Kala Academy. He has also written and directed about seven plays, by the time he was 19 - 20 years old. His art can be found here: https://www.saatchiart.com/ajiartist
